Tyson Fury Unleashes Barrage Of Abuse On Anthony Joshua

Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury unleashes a bag full of verbal jabs on Anthony Joshua at the press conference today announcing his comeback fight.

Fury will return to the ring on June 9th in his hometown of Manchester with an opponent to be confirmed.

Speaking at today’s press conference announcing the news alongside his new promoter Frank Warren, the inevitable Anthony Joshua question came up.

Fury, as he’s consistently done over the years, pointed to Joshua as not being on his level as a boxer and dismissed his thread entirely:

“Like I’ve described him many times, he’s a big old dosser. A belt carrier for me. By the time I get ready to fight its going to be an easy fight. No contest. He’s looking for one punch all the time. We all saw the Parker fight. Anybody who can move a little bit, throw a few feints, he struggles with.”

He added:

“If he wants to land a punch on me here’s the tip – get a handful of rice and throw it at me.”

On how he thinks the fight will go when they do meet, he said:

“I’ll outbox him for a few rounds and knock him out.”

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren mentioned at the presser that Fury will need to box three or four times before getting in the ring with the likes of Joshua or Deontay Wilder – so expect Fury to be quite busy in 2018.
