Tyson Fury was batting back questions about Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder earlier on at a press conference in the UK.

The modern boxing heavyweight landscape in essence is dominated by the above three men.

Joshua’s recent win over Joseph Parker ensures that all the belts are currently held by him and Wilder at the moment, although one Tyson Fury is looming large over their shoulders once again.

When asked about Wilder at today’s press conference, unlike his opinion about Anthony Joshua, Fury was quite complimentary regarding American Deontay Wilder:

“At the minute I think Deontay Wilder is at the top of the pile. Reason being is he is dangerous until the last two seconds of the fight. As we have seen with (Luis) Ortiz he was losing the fight all the way through and he only needs to land one punch. Unlike AJ he has the agility and speed to throw them from anywhere.”

Anywhere referring to the angles that Wilder throws his punches from, presumably in that he was comparing Joshua’s punch variations from more predictable, orthodox angles.

Wilder and Joshua’s styles are probably the polar opposites in how they box to be fair, though.

One a convention, well schooled fighter and the other a wild, big bomb slinging knockout artist.

Time will tell who emerges as the very best out of Joshua, Fury and Wilder.
