Deontay Wilder Makes Audaciously Chilling Claim

Deontay Wilder is the talk of the heavyweight division the last couple of days despite a huge unification fight taking place tonight in Cardiff between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.

Wilder will not be in attendance tonight but has been getting the media’s attention with various interviews this week.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club radio show, Wilder had a chilling message for what he would like to do to a fellow fighter one day:

“I want a body on my record. I want one. I really do. That’s the Bronze Bomber. He want one. When I’m the Bronze Bomber I don’t care. I want that on my record.”

The idea is that the ‘Bronze Bomber’ is Wilder’s alter ego.

He has mentioned before that the man, Deontay Wilder, of course would not wish harm on an opponent – whereas the former wants to seek and destroy when in the ring at all costs.

Winning a boxing match by knockout and going for the finish is perfectly okay, sure, but to echo such graphic sentiments like those above is perhaps a bit uncalled for in a sport that can sometimes have tragic endings.

Like boxing can.

Obviously he’s heavy into promoting himself at the moment in a bid to land the Anthony Joshua fight but one can’t help but feel these comments may have stepped over the line a bit.
