Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum has now gone on record with his official Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker prediction ahead of March 31st’s heavyweight unification in Wales.

Arum has some ties through his company Top Rank with WBO champion Parker and is backing his man to pull off the upset.

Speaking to a group of journalists in a media scrum ahead of this weekend’s fights in New York on ESPN, Arum said:

“Parker is going to beat him. I’m telling everybody! Everybody is taking bout a Joshua Wilder fight. Forget about that. Parker got a chin like iron. He’s going to be there for the full 12 rounds and he’s going to beat Joshua. He’s a better boxer than Joshua is.”

Not many are giving Parker much of a chance in the fight, despite the fact he’s an undefeated world heavyweight champion himself – just like Joshua.

It will mark one of the few occasions in boxing history that this writer can recall at least that two undefeated, legitimate heavyweight champions fought one another.

Perhaps a mark of the positive times for the sport at the moment, where champions are once again facing one another and overall, the best are now more willing to face one another – it would seem.
