Peter Fury Lists 5 Things Eubank Needs To Correct After Groves Loss

Respected trainer Peter Fury has trained a number of successful fighters in recent years including Tyson Fury and Hughie Fury.

Peter Fury has an innate understanding of the technical areas of professional boxing that are needed to succeed at the highest level.

His game plan for his nephew Tyson Fury to dethrone Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 proof of that in itself.

Following last weekend’s fight between Chris Eubank Jr and George Groves, Fury told James Helder of IFL TV that Eubank Jr needs to correct:

“He needs to work on his foot work. He’s too flat-footed. There’s no feints behind his shots. There’s no looseness. He’s holding his jab in the wrong position. He’s not fluid, there’s no fluidity there. Not because he’s stiff but it’s just the way he’s going about it. So they are simple tweaks. But they are all wrong.”

Eubank Jr lost the fight by unanimous decision at the Manchester Arena.

Currently Eubank Jr uses Ronnie Davis as his trainer who trained his successful boxing father Chris Eubank senior many years ago.

Time will tell what Eubank Jr will correct or not following defeat to Groves.
