A scuffle broke out at the Garcia vs Rios weigh-in ahead of their fight that nearly resulted in an altercation as both fighters were clearly ready to be let off the leash.

In many ways that’s what professional fighting boils down to.

The build-up of months and months of training, sacrifice and isolation that culminates in two highly aggressive and well-trained athletes wanting to well, fight one another.

Both Garcia and Rios will have their chance tonight of course but things nearly boiled over at yesterday’s weigh-ins here.

Speaking to Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip) Danny Garcia’s girlfriend reacted to the weigh-in’s heated argument between the two:

Tonight’s fight will take place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Garcia comes into the bout as warm favourite but Rios appears to be in tip-top shape.
