Carl Froch Gives His Prediction For Groves vs Eubank – And It’s Interesting

A man who knows more than most about the two men fighting this weekend is retired former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch.

Froch famously shared the ring with Groves on two occasions in memorable battles.

The second one coming in front of 80,000 screaming fans at Wembley stadium.

He also has sparred Eubank Jr extensively in the past too:

Speaking to Talk Sport Froch has now gone on the record with how he thinks the fight will go this weekend:

“Chris Eubank Jr has the work rate, the pace, the engine and the fitness to do the 12 rounds. At a pace. The only way you can beat Chris Eubank Jr is by stopping him in his tracks. So you’ve got to hit him. You’ve got to hurt him. You’ve got to stop him from coming. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got the best jab in the business. I just don’t think that Eubank Jr can be hurt by Groves.”

He went on to say:

“The only question marks I’ve got for Eubank Jr is it’s up at super-middleweight and Groves can punch respectively hard and with them little 10 ounce groves – it is different to sparring. There is a chance that Eubank could walk into a shot off Groves and get hurt and everyone’s like; ‘Oh what’s happening hear, Eubank’s hurt. He’s wobbled’. And Groves can (then) finish him, the ref will jump in and stop it. I just don’t think Groves can hurt him.”

The fight takes place on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena.
