Muhammad Ali’s boxer daughter Laila Ali forged a successful career in women’s boxing in her own right – but never forgot the best advice her legendary father gave her.

Muhammad Ali may no longer be with us but his teachings still live on today with humanity.

In the crazy world we live in 2018 his teachings perhaps more important than ever have more meaning – with all the negativity in the world today.

Speaking to Larry King, Laila Ali spoke on the subject and opened up on the best thing her father ever told her:

“(He told me) Never step on others to get ahead. That can be applied to so many areas of my life. I’m trying to teach my kids now because I think we are living in a time where people feel like they have to say something to make somebody look bad just to make themselves better. My father never wanted us to do that and never look down on anyone, and he didn’t. Like you said he was the most famous man in the world but he would still take the time to go out of his way to make the person you think you would not pay him any attention to put a smile on their face, like the janitor or something like that.”

Well said. Life’s golden rule really – treat others how you’d like to be treated yourself.

Muhammad Ali might be the greatest boxer to some but to others, he’s the greatest person that ever lived, period.
