Fury held the belt for over two years while being out of the ring but today the magazine said enough was enough.
Fury was recognized as the lineal heavyweight champion by the magazine all the while not fighting, but their patience has finally ran out as it is now nearly two and a half years since he’s been in a pro boxing ring – with still no opponent or date confirmed for his next fight.
The good news for Fury is though is that he more or less has his license back and everything is all clear.
He’s losing weight and is just waiting on his new promotional situation along with a comeback opponent.
Speaking earlier on the news that he is no longer Ring Magazine champion, Fury had this to say about the news:

Ever the opportunist to point out something, indeed he is another first in that regard.
Fans will be hoping to see him back doing what he does best soon though.
