Jorge Linares and Vasyl Lomachenko – anyone fancy that as a fight much? Well, many seem to be already calling for it – including both fighters in question.

Lomachenko after shutting down former rival Guillermo Rigondeaux now finds himself in the precarious position of seeking out a legitimate challenge.

In his heart of hearts he surely knows he’ll have to move up in weight to find it.

Just a little bit up sits a man at lightweight in the form of Jorge Linares who certainly possess the boxing acumen to more than test the fight phenom from the Ukraine.

Both fighters are with rival promoters but by all accounts this should not be an obstacle in terms of making the fight.

In terms of making the bigger headway with exposure, you’d have to think that if the fight is signed that it will take place on ESPN in the States, Lomachenko’s new broadcaster.
