Amir Khan and Eddie Hearn Receive Baptism Of Fire For Choice Of Opponent

Amir Khan can’t seem to ever do anything right in the eyes of many boxing fans. Same can be said for his new promoter Eddie Hearn, judging by the baptism of fire they’ve received today following the announcement of Khan’s comeback opponent.

Khan faces Phil Le Greco of Canada on April 21st in Liverpool’s Echo Arena and it will be the first time in nearly two years that Khan has fought since losing to Canelo Alvarez in May of 2015.

By vicious knockout on that occasion.

Since then he’s gone through a number of personal problems out of the ring but in true boxer fashion, has fought through them and come back stronger than ever.

He has reunited with his wife following a temporary split and this past few months has built his name even more among casual sports fans and even non sports fans, following a highly entertaining stint on TV reality show “I’m A Celeb.”

Well, despite all that, it seems he can’t do any right following the news today that he’s fighting Phil La Greco:
