Revealed: Anthony Joshua 3 Fight Plan For 2018

Revealed Anthony Joshua 3 Fight Plan For 2018

There is a clear plan laid out this year for heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua and boxing fans will be happy to know it will involved three fights.

Three fights is crucial to growing a star in not just boxing, but any sport.

Twice a year just isn’t enough and there’s a reason clever folks like Dana White in the UFC always put in a minimum of three fights per year in fighter contracts – as it’s what’s needed at the least to make a fighter famous.

This activity coupled with interviews and press exposure outside of fight camps is what ultimately helps sports like boxing stay in the public domain, and alive and well ultimately.

Anthony Joshua as the sport’s biggest global star fought twice last year – but will be even more active this year it has been revealed.

Speaking to Sky Sports his promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed:

“Our plan is box three times this year – end of August or early September, then December. We’ve got a base in America already. We’d rather the fight was in the UK but we’re not bothered if it has to be in America. No problem.”

The fight in the States being looked at surely has to be against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder – who faces tricky Cuban Luis Ortiz in his next bout.

Provided he gets through that and Joshua gets past Joseph Parker, all appears to be set for a mega fight between the two in America later in the year.
