Eddie Hearn: Joshua vs Fury Could Happen In The Summer

This will be music to the ears of fight fans today. One of the biggest fights that can be made in world boxing is an open option for one of the potential fighters – if he wants it.

Fury regained his boxing license today after the British Boxing Board confirmed the news pending some final medical exams.

It was a formality in truth.

Fury has been pursuing a fight with Anthony Joshua for years and has sent the current heavyweight champion non stop remarks on social media over the past six months.

It appears today following the news that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn is more than prepared to call Tyson Fury’s bluff.

Speaking live on television today on Sky Sports News, Hearn said:

“If Tyson Fury wants the fight with Anthony Joshua it’s only a phone call away. He likes to tweet about it rather than to talk about, as in over a table. Listen, he’s an excellent fighter. He’s a great character for the sport of boxing. Joshua vs Fury is a huge fight.”

On Fury, he added:

“Rather than tweet about it, we should actually sit down and try to make the fight.”

He also mentioned:

“It could happen in the summer. If he wants to go straight into that fight no problem for Anthony Joshua.”

Fury has been slated to come back in April but a fight in the middle of the summer with Anthony Joshua after that could easily sell out any stadium in the UK.

What a fight it would be too.
