Errol Spence Open To Fight With Amir Khan

Errol Spence vs Danny Garcia Confirmed and Made Official

A bit of a left field fight that not many may have considered before, but certainly one that in theory could be easily made due to both guys sharing the same manager, Al Haymon.

Khan returns to boxing this year in the welterweight division with his first opponent expected to be named soon by his new promoter Eddie Hearn.

Khan has inked a three fight deal with Hearn and as part of it there are a number of fights being considered in fight two and three.

Including the likes of Adrien Broner and fellow promotional stable mate Kell Brook. But a fellow stable mate in Khan’s management company, Errol Spence, could be something for later in the year.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Errol Spence said:

“It’s something I would consider. He’s (Khan) a big name too, so if my manager came to me with that, I would consider it and talk with my coaches about it. I don’t see why not, why it can’t take place.”

What an interesting clash of styles it would be.

Two men with skills and speed to burn but would Khan’s punch resistance be able to hold up against a man who travelled to the UK last year and ripped the world title away from Kell Brook, inside the distance no less?

Certainly a very, very fun fight if it comes to fruition later in the year. Spence fights Lamont Peterson later this month in his first fight of 2018 following a big 2017.
