Promoter Reveals Personal Phone Conversation Joshua and Fury Had

Joshua vs Fury Phone Conversation

Both men it has been revealed appear to have tried to cut through everything and deal direct with one another on the phone – in a bid to make what would be one of the biggest heavyweight fights in recent years.

It’s not very often at the highest level of modern-day professional sports that you hear of two athletes actually cutting through all the middlemen, social media, press officers, agents and more to speak to each other directly.

That’s what happened at the weekend between current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Ring Magazine champion Tyson Fury.

Fury confirmed he will box again this coming April and promoter of Joshua, Eddie Hearn, when speaking to a group of journalists today in a media scrum in London detailed what Fury rang Joshua saying.

Fury asked Joshua one to one:

“Don’t you want to fight me in April?”

To which Joshua replied:

“You have not got a license mate. You’re not fit.”

Hearn also went on to mention that Joshua rang him straight away once he got off the phone to Fury.

Joshua has his company now outside of just being a fighter who boxes for Hearn’s Matchroom. As well as getting into promoting himself recently in the UK.

Fury does a lot of the business side of boxing himself – but also has MTK Global as his main management company representing him.
