Demetrius Andrade Open To Gary O’Sullivan Fight

Demetrius Andrade looks set to compete in the middleweight division this year and the former super-welterweight champion has his eyes on one fighting Irishman who’s been impressing everyone recently.

Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan, always in a fun fight and who can hit as hard as many of the biggest hitting middleweights in the world can, had a big 2017 last year that’s put him on the radar of plenty of fighters it is turning out.

He recorded two exciting stoppage wins last year on big platforms in the US.

One on ESPN and the latest before Christmas a KO over Antoine Douglas live on HBO on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders vs David Lemieux.

Undefeated Demetrius Andrade (25-0-16KO) has his eyes on Saunders’s WBO middleweight title this year but speaking to IFL TV – also said O’Sullivan would be a fight he’d love:

” I think he’s a good action packed fighter for me. Yeah. He’ll come in. He’s a straight forward guy. He’ll force me to let my hands go. I think it will be a great fight and I think it will be a good step up fight for me as far as weight. I still think I need to put on a little bit more muscle. A little bit more weight on so I can hang with them as far as like the long distance, the smothering, the holding.”

Demetrius Andrade last fought Atlantez Fox in Verona back in October where he recorded a unanimous points decision victory.
