Heavyweight Dereck Chisora Explains Why He’s Not Crazy

Chisora Claims To Have The Upper Hand On Dillian Whyte

The colourful heavyweight Dereck Chisora from the UK is in perhaps the final stages of his career now but one thing’s for sure, he has plenty of fight left in him just yet.

Chisora’s one of those fighters that can be in some very fun fights to watch when he wants to be.

The last been probably his fight with Dillian Whyte which proved to be a good old-fashioned British heavyweight ding-dong in the end.

However he’s now in a lull in his career after a loss in Monaco to German Agit Kabayel last year where he admittedly told IFL that:

“I didn’t get beat. I changed my game plan during the week but I didn’t get beat.”

It was a close decision majority loss in the end that has left a sore taste in the mouth of “Del Boy” who clearly was incensed by the judging decision.

Perhaps it would be a good idea over the coming years for boxing to try to employ younger officials around the world.

There’s a lot of old men in boxing to be fair. There needs to be more youth and ex-fighters getting involved in the officiating.

Talking all things about his loss, where it left his career and why he doesn’t want people to think he is crazy, Chisora sat down in a fascinating interview with Kugan Cassius of IFL TV (hat tip):
