Dana White Explains Beef With Oscar De La Hoya

UFC President Dana White is lining up meetings all this month whith members of the boxing business as he is set to start promoting boxing fights this year.

Speculation has existed that White could enter boxing as early as next month and potential people he could work with include Al Haymon and Floyd Mayweather.

But White is remaining open by all accounts but has categorically told Kevin Iole on YouTube today that:

“I’ll never work with Showtime again.”

A lot of the other networks appear to be tied up already with promoters, unless White for example started co-promoting events that already have networks.

Two other promoters White has chosen not to meet with are Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum.

Today he told Kevin Iole on YouTube that:

“I’m just so disgusted by the way he (De La Hoya) handled the Mayweather-McGregor fight. The stuff that he came out with and said and then as soon as the fight was over he says he’s in training because he wants to fight McGregor because fighting Floyd was a disgrace but fighting him wouldn’t be. Just weird. I don’t know if I could deal with Oscar but crazier things have happened.”

White has also mentioned in recent weeks that he believes current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is the most marketable fighter in boxing and one he would have interest working with in the future.
