World Title Results From Asia – Naoya Inoue and Ken Shiro

World Title Results From Asia

In a relatively quiet time for the sport of boxing over the holidays today saw some action in Japan that included multiple world champions in action.

Two world champions were in action today in Japan in the form of Ken Shiro and Naoya Inoue – who both recorded stoppage wins to defend their titles.

First up WBC light-flyweight champion Ken Shiro stopped Gilberto Pedraza in the fourth round, dropping him twice on the way to victory.

The straight right hand and left hook proved to be key weapons for Shiro who improved his record to 12-0-6KO.

In the main event on the night 24-year-old WBO world super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue continued to impress with a convincing stoppage over Yoann Boyeaux.

Inoue dismantled his opponent within three rounds, hammering him into submission and dropping him four times in total.

Is thought that Inoue may move up in weight following this fight due to the sheer difficulty in trying to secure bouts for him.

A man who is well and truly living up to his nickname of “The Monster.”
