Shannon Briggs has opened up on everything since his failed drugs test earlier in 2017 that happened before what was supposed to be a shot at a version of the heavyweight title.

Briggs was in line to fight for the WBA ‘regular’ strap but a last-minute failed drugs test scampered the planned bout and it appeared like his career was completely on the ropes after receiving a suspension, temporarily.

The news came right in the middle of a huge amount of momentum in the ring and outside of it that Briggs had  built up.

However after the issue was explored by the relevant parties the suspension was lifted not long ago – leaving Briggs to continue with his career and mount a comeback in 2018.

In recent years Briggs has put together a number of wins and has received publicity for his now well-known “Lets Go Champ” slogan that has preached widespread positive vibes.

But beneath that positive attitude and messaging was a depressed man behind the scenes, who has conceded he has battled depression since a child.
