Cuban fight Yunier Dorticos will be known to some fans as he is a part of the current World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament where in 2018 he will compete in the semi-finals.

A skilled operator possessing both the physical and technical attributes to make him a champion in boxing, also by accident went a little wrong with them for his coach.

As this video shows from Jorge Ebro (hat tip), moments after Dorticos landed a combination with his coach also wearing a protective body belt, he also followed through with a sharp left hook:

The instant regret for his actions clear to see in what was obviously an accident and something that comes part and parcel risk-wise of the job.

Surely his coach will be getting a raise before his next fight, though?

The huge hitting Dorticos (22-0-21KO) is currently 31 years of age and will next Murat Gassiev on February 3rd at the Bolshoy Ice Dome, Adler.

The Cuban’s last fight in the quarter finals of the tournament came in San Antonio, Texas last September where he won a TKO over Dmitry Kudryashov.
