Anthony Joshua Parker Negotiations Reportedly Concluded

Tenuous Anthony Joshua Parker negotiations that have been going on for over a month are now reportedly concluded, in terms of the hard details of the deal.

The main sticking point holding things up so far has of course been over the purse split, with team Parker consistent in not moving from 65-35 in favor of Joshua.

Up until now it appeared team Joshua would not entertain that but it appears finally, some ground mutually has been agreed upon.

Speaking to T2T Boxing, Parker said:

“But I think we’ve come to a conclusion – we’re just going to tidy things up, lock it in and get the fight going.”

That will come as good news to fight fans hoping to see Joshua in a unification fight next up in the heavyweight division.

Something Joshua himself has said he’s hell-bent on doing in 2018.

Also waiting in the wings in 2018 for him is potential fights against WBC champion Deontay Wilder and perhaps later in the year Tyson Fury – with the heavyweight landscape well and truly alive once again.

2018 should in some way or another, see different unification fights of the recognised belts the way things are currently lining up.
