Errol Spence Jr Shows True Class With This Christmas Idea

IBF welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr shows just why so many respect him in and out of boxing with this touch of class.

It has been a big year for the man from Texas who travelled to the UK to win the world title from previous IBF 147lbs holder Kell Brook.

He’s been back in Dallas in the run of to this year’s holidays and has been on a toy drive for kids less fortunate in his home State.

Speaking on the event that he was hosting, Spence said:

“It’s always important to give back, especially during the holidays. Not everybody grows up knowing if they’ll have toys under the tree, so I just wanted to make sure I could help as many kids as possible and put a smile on some faces this holiday season.  My city made me who I am so it’s the least I can do to help spread some positivity this time of year.”

He added:

“I wanted to host this toy drive because I grew up in the Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club. They gave me so much, so I feel obligated and honored to give back. These clubs help so many underserved families and kids. I wanted to do what I could to help make their wishes come true.”

The American takes on Lamont Peterson in the new year in his first fight since becoming world champion.
