Report: Broadcaster Teddy Atlas To Be Stopped From Calling Fights On ESPN

Long time broadcaster and colorful personality Teddy Atlas to stop calling fights on America’s biggest sports channel is has been revealed.

The news will come as a disappointment to sports fans who often enjoy his passion and in-depth analysis on big fights, never shy to give his unfiltered, honest view.

In recent times over the last year or so, Atlas got more and more animated during live broadcasts with ESPN’s Stephen A Smith.

So much so that Atlas built up a bit of a cult following of fans on social media following his well publicised post-fight rant videos.

However this looks like it is now a thing of the past. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Atlas said:

“It wasn’t my choice. I’ve appreciated the 21 years I’ve been at ESPN and the opportunity I’ve been given, and I appreciate the opportunity the fans have given me.

It is understood that Atlas has a number of years left on his current contract so the above permanent removal from calling fights won’t be something happening very soon.
