Slick Mick Conlan Marches On In New York – 2018 Promises Big Things

Slick Mick Conlan showcased his full repertoire of sweet science inventory this weekend at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

The Irishman was fighting at the famed venue for his second time in his very first year as a pro.

The 26 year old proved too strong in the end for opponent Luis Molina and recorded a unanimous points victory on all three scorecards over his Argentinian counterpart.

The win made it a perfect start to Conlan’s pro career with a record of 5-0-4KO.

Conlan impressively displayed some diversity to his game to throw his opponent off, switching from orthodox to southpaw during the fight.

A feat never easily successfully done by any fighter.

It was the first time the Irishman has been taken this distance in his pro career which will have been a solid learning fight at this stage.

Providing his team and himself plenty to look back over during the Christmas holidays with fresh food for thought to continue to improve on in 2018.

He showed more of his boxing skills in this bout on the back foot which displayed another side to his game when he needs to, and took little damage in the contest in the end.

Following the bout Conlan thanked his supporters for the strong year he’s had in his first as a pro:
