Anthony Joshua does not particularly find the win impressive, and has spoken on the fight candidly for the first time.

It’s been over two years now since Fury’s famous win over Wladimir Klitschko that blew open the heavyweight division and dethroned the previously long-reigning man at the top.

A lot has changed since then.

Now it’s Anthony Joshua who sits on top of the heavyweight thrown with a target on his back and every heavyweight worth their bread are taking aim at it at the moment.

It’s something he relishes it would seem.

In recent weeks has started to speak more candidly about his rivals in the division and really started to bite back in the media.

Speaking in Dubai to Dubai Eye Sport on what he thought of Fury’s win over Klitschko back in 2015, he wasn’t impressed:

“Nah. Boxed twelve rounds and ran. I don’t respect that. As I always said, if I’m the King of Dubai in the olden days and a different emperor comes to take my territory, you’ don’t come and take my treasure. That’s what Fury done in I think. He stole the belts from Klitschko in a sense. He just boxed and moved.”

He added:

“I know it’s the art of boxing but I always said you come to slay the King. You look him in his face and take what’s his. That’s what I think what me and Klitschko done. We came together man to man and just went to war, and I think that’s re-lit the division as well.”
