Keith Thurman Makes Unusual Remark About A Future Errol Spence Fight

Welterweight world champion Keith Thurman makes unusual claim about a possible fight against fellow world champion Errol Spence Jr.

Fight fans might be a little disappointed in the latest remarks from one of the welterweight champions of the world after realising that he isn’t interesting in the fight for a while.

Not for a rather long time in fact.

As we come to the end of 2017 we’ve seen some terrific action in the welterweight division so far this year. Keith Thurman and Danny Garica fighting earlier in the year was a fight fans demanded, and one they got.

Following the win Thurman got married and has not boxed since.

He’s been linked with a host of fighters including Spence but speaking to Fight Hype, Keith said he’s not interested in fighting Spence until all the way in 2019 and that it wasn’t on his “to do list”:

(Hat tip Fight Hype YouTube):

Disappointing for sure. What a terrific fight it would be between two of the best 147lbs fighters in the world today.

2019 might be a bit too long to wait for many fans – to put it lightly.

A host of other fights at welterweight look like they can be made in 2018 however with the likes of Terence Crawford now in the division recently.

As well as a recent return from Devon Alexander and the likes of Danny Garcia and many more still at the weight class.
