Report: Anthony Joshua Team Respond To Alleged Racist Messages

The Anthony Joshua team have reacted to some alleged messages sent to American heavyweight boxer Eddie Chambers.

The alleged incident took place here while Joshua is abroad travelling in Dubai at present.

The heavyweight champion has not addressed them himself, but his promoter did respond to the matter on Twitter saying they were fake.

Now journalist Riath-Al-Samarrai has an update from Joshua’s team:

While Joshua has not addressed Chamber’s allegations directly as of this time, he did post this update on Instagram since the allegations happened:

He is understood to currently be enjoying his vacation time following a recent 10th round TKO win over Carlos Takam in Wales.

Unification fights next up against either Joseph Parker or Deontay Wilder are being discussed at present for his next bout.

Joshua’s record is a perfect one as the year closes out of 20-0-20KO. One of the very few 100% knockout records in world boxing from any world champion currently fighting at the moment, if not the only one.

One suspects that he will fight at least twice in 2018 again — with Tyson Fury also in the mix as a possible opponent.
