Coach Speaks On When Tyson Fury Return In 2018 Should Happen

Fury Return

His trainer and uncle Peter Fury has confirmed when he thinks his nephew Tyson Fury’s return to the ring will take place in 2018.

A Fury return to boxing was already understood to be happening next year but it has taken another real, tangible step towards happening now as his former trainer and respected boxing figure Peter Fury has put an approximate date on it.

Peter Fury does not mince his words so when he says something is going to happen for one of his boxers, it usually does.

Speaking on BBC Live Radio, Fury said:

“As far as I know he’s in a good place and he’s losing his weight. I think April next year.”

Speaking on the Anthony Joshua fight being a huge showdown, Fury added:

“I think so. The only fear is Joshua doesn’t get beat beforehand. That’s a fight the public wants to see. That’s a fight Tyson wants. I really think that’s a fight that should be made.”

Both Joshua and Fury engaged in some Twitter back and forth with one another last week which caused huge waves in the boxing world.

Joshua told Fury he was a “fat f***” in a break from his normal clean cut character and persona.

The comments earned Joshua over 100,000 re-tweets alone since they were made between those and others involving rivals Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker.

Going on public opinion on Twitter, it’s the Joshua vs Fury fight that seems to be the biggest at the moment in terms of what fans are talking about.

One would imagine that it could easily fill Wembley stadium and then some if it were to happen in 2018.

Fury must first come through his UKAD hearing next month hwoever and get his professional boxing license back in the new year before it can happen.
