WBC Number One Contender Dillian Whyte Insults Wilder Ability

Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder comes in for some short, to the point summation here by Dillian Whyte.

It was confirmed during the week that the UK’s Dillian Whyte has become number one contender in the WBC rankings for heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

This follows Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn hoping for Wilder to first fight Whyte — before a unification fight between Joshua and Wilder can be made.

If he were to beat Whyte, that is.

Whyte has had some strong words for Wilder in the past but speaking this morning on UK TV show ‘Soccer Am’ Whyte revealed he’s not a fan of Wilder at all.

Rating his skills simply:

“He can’t box. He can punch but he can’t box.”

Speaking on Wilder and the other contenders and champions in the heavyweight mix, here is what Whyte had to say in full:

A pretty ruthless breakdown and summary from Whyte. A man who never minces his words, to be fair.

Whyte admittedly is not coming of the best performance of his own career however when he found Robert Helenius of Sweden more than tricky last time out a couple of weeks ago on the Joshua vs Takam undercard at the Millennium Stadium.

Whatever the case might be, he now finds himself very close to a shot at WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
