Conor McGregor Is Convinced He’d Win A Mayweather Rematch

Conor McGregor is convinced if he and Floyd Mayweather squared off in a boxing rematch he’d come out victorious.

McGregor has been promoting his new movie this week that hits cinemas soon. It will chronicle his rapid rise to fame and success from humble beginnings in Dublin, Ireland, to world-wide acclaim.

His only venture into the boxing world did not go his way however.

In August of last American Floyd Mayweather stopped him inside the distance after some opening rounds that were won by McGregor.

Conor McGregor is convinced it would not happen again if the two met in the boxing ring however.

Speaking in a television interview with Sky Sports News, McGregor said:

“Of course I went in to win. It didn’t go my way. He changed up his game plan three times. He went from his ‘Philly Shell’ style to his rope-a-dope style. I was picking him off in both of those styles. Then he changed up to a third change of game plan and went Mexican-style. Hands up, knuckles above the eyebrows, dipped in low and started walking forward. It’s a style of fighting that caught me off guard because he never fights like that. I did not prepare for it and I did not anticipate it and ultimately, it got him the win. So, much respect. It is what it is. If I got another go I would beat him.”
