What Zlatan Ibrahimovic Thought Of Joshua vs Takam Fight

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was one of the sports stars in attendance at this past weekend’s heavyweight title fight and gave his reaction afterwards.

Soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is known for being a massive boxing fan outside of his international soccer exploits and is seen at many of the big fights in the UK throughout the year.

Like many fans after the fight at the weekend he was impressed with the Joshua vs Takam bout on the whole, but felt it was stopped prematurely.

Speaking to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV afterwards Zlatan Ibrahimovic said:

“It was a good fight. I thought it would be faster but the other guy did a guy job. The referee is there to protect both the fighters. The guy was getting a beating and the referee was protecting him.”

He added:

“I would like to see him against Wilder. Move over to America, get the knock out and just say is that all you got? And then come back (to the UK).”

Indeed, many would like to see the Joshua vs Wilder heavyweight title unification next up but whether or not it happens remains to be seen.
