Perhaps some of the lighter, more hilarious post-fight reaction from one boxing writer after the Anthony Joshua vs Carlos Takam fight.
Fallout from this weekend’s heavyweight title fight has been coming in from all angles following what proved to be a controversial stoppage after a heavyweight war.
A fight that left both fighters significantly banged up afterwards between a broken nose and horrific cuts.
Amid all the chaos and disgust at the stoppage however, was one rather unique reaction from British boxing writer Terence Dooley.
Well, a hilarious reaction really.
Following the fight Mr.Dooley earned a large amount of reaction on Twitter when he informed fans that:
Wife said Joshua has more elegance than Lennox. I’ve dug out 20 LL fights and told her we are staying up to 5am. Nine month pregnant or not.

Anthony Joshua vs Lennox Lewis in the elegance department is something that perhaps most would not have considered.
In keeping with this sense of humour, he followed up with an update by saying he managed to get his wife to change her mind:
UPDATE: My nine month pregnant wife has just watched a @LennoxLewis KO compilation and admitted that he was the most elegant recent heavy.

Classic.
Comparisons between Joshua and legendary fighters of the past have been perhaps more frequent than many boxing fans would like to see recently.
While Joshua has done superbly in his career to date, comparisons to Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson at this stage of the game are far, far too premature in reality.
