Only Current Undisputed World Champion Boxer Records Impressive TKO

The only undisputed world champion boxer in the sport at the moment chalked in a stunning knockout following a controversial press conference.

Norwegian female boxing pioneer Cecilia Brækhus showed once again this weekend what a truly special talent she is for the sport of boxing.

The only current world champion in either men’s or female pro boxing that holds all the belts (WBC, IBO, IBF, WBO and WBA) had to contend with a controversial build-up to her latest fight, however.

In the final pre-fight press conference her Swedish opponent made world headlines for this kiss:

This might have brought a hearty laugh from the champion beforehand but when it came to fight night, she was all business.

She TKO’d her opponent Mikaela Lauren in style to retain her titles:

Quiet a way to defend her titles.

The win improved Braekhus’ professional boxing record to 32-0-9KO. It’s hard to see where she goes from here after been so dominant these last few years in women’s boxing though.

Other big names in female boxing appear to be in different weight categories at the moment in pro boxing.

Katie Taylor from Ireland competes at lightweight and the US’ Claressa Shields current campaigns at super-middleweight for example.

Maybe a catchweight fight could be made down the line.
