Terry Flanagan Fed Up With Big Fights Continuing To Avoid Him

WBO lightweight world champion Terry Flanagan could very well be one of the most underestimated and avoided world champions in boxing.

Flanagan is well known to boxing fans but outside of fight fans, the world champion has struggled to get recognition in his career to date with the wider sports public.

The Manchester man has rarely put a foot wrong on his part though, mind you, and has always given a great account of himself and been involved in decent fights to watch throughout his career.

Furthermore, his professional boxing record makes for stellar reading too at 33-0-13KO and he is still only 28 years old.

His resume includes some very credible and strong opponents on top of this, going all the way back to American Nate Campbell in 2013 whom he stopped.

He also holds wins over the likes of Stephen Ormond, Diego Magdaleno, Derry Matthews, Orlando Cruz and most recently Peter Petrov back in April.

He hasn’t fought since then however, frustratingly, but is now eyeing some big fights upon his return and has singled out some top names in particular for his next fight while speaking to ATG Radio (hat tip):

Whether any of the above choose to step in there with him, or the other champion at the weight (135lbs) Robert Easter call out ‘Turbo’, remains to be seen.

Until then, the frustrating career of Terry Flangan trying to land a big fight looks set to continue.

At least for a while.
