Terence Crawford vs Jeff Horn Set For 2018

Bob Arum’s master plan of Terence Crawford vs Jeff Horn looks like it will come to fruition in 2018 according to latest reports.

Some had speculated that it would be Terence Crawford vs Manny Pacquiao in 2018 as the final fight of the great ‘Pacman’ career.

However, Jeff Horn had other plans earlier in 2017 and put a spanner in the works with his surprise upset in Australia to capture the WBO crown from Pacquiao.

A new twist in the welterweight division plot has now come.

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum has told Ring TV that Terence Crawford will move up to 147lbs immediately and become mandatory for Horn’s 147lbs WBO title (even without having fought in the welterweight division before) and likely box him in February or March of 2018.

After Crawford’s last fight earlier this year, a highly impressive knockout win of Julius Indongo back in August, he made clear that moving up in weight was what he wanted to do.

Well, it now appears he’s gotten his wish and not only that, a potential crack at a world title for his first fight in the division no less.

There is still a fight Horn must come through however against the UK’s Gary Corcoran from London, which Arum might be looking over a bit.

Although Horn vs Corcoran has not been officially confirmed as of yet it is thought the bout will take place this December in Australia.
