Gary Spike O Sullivan Impresses In Thriller On Boston ESPN Card

Gary Spike O Sullivan showed once again just why he provides value for fight fans with the 18th stoppage win of his pro career.

It was his 7th time overall in his professional career fighting in Boston so far and afterwards the Cork man commented that it was turning into a home away from home for him.

Indeed, the Boston fight fans were treated to an excellent content between O’Sullivan and Englishman Nick Quigley on the night.

Both men came out swinging right from the very first round to try to establish dominance. As the early rounds progressed, it was Gary Spike O Sullivan who proved to win this battle.

Both fighters exchanged furiously in the early rounds with a cut forming over O Sullivan.

This was not to deter him however, as he eventually forced the stoppage in round 4 with Quigley in no fit position to box on according to the referee.

After the bout O’Sullivan paid tribute to the punching power of his opponent and was full of praise for him.

With the win on such a big stage that last night’s ESPN co-main event was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, one would expect the opportunities next up for O’Sullivan to be considerable.

An all action, fan-friendly style with colorful antics outside the ring, a big following on Twitter coupled with plenty of Irish-Americans who will have liked what they saw last night – should equal some nice opportunities next up for the 33 year old Cork man.

The win last improved his record to 26-2-18KO as a professional.
