Defeated heavyweight title challenger Hughie Fury gives his reaction for the first time since suffering the loss to Joseph Parker.

It was the first loss of Hughie Fury’s professional career but given the fact he’s still very young as a prizefighter, and extremely young for a heavyweight, there’s no denying that he can come again and grow as a fighter following the defeat.

His promoter Mick Hennessy was incensed after the fight however and told the BBC that he thought his man clearly one. Blasting the verdict as corrupt as reported by the BBC.

Parker captured a majority decision on the night in Manchester, defending his title in Fury’s hometown.

Hughie has spoken for the first time since the defeat and had these words following the loss on Twitter:

I’d like to thank everyone that supported me last night & came to watch me fight, I believe I won & I’ll be back, And I’ll be a world champ.

Hughie will have plenty of options after a world title fight that would have likely raised his profile, one suspects.

Until then it’s back to the drawing board. Fury’s professional record moved to 20-1-10KO following the defeat this weekend.
