‘Pacman’ Manny Pacquiao trolls the officials who were responsible for officiating the Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez fight.

The boxing world is in uproar today after in the view of many, Gennady Golovkin’s winning streak was unfairly taken away from him because of one judge.

It could have been worst mind you. He could have unfairly lost the fight all together and all his belts with this weekend’s draw at least ensuring he holds onto his titles.

Manny Pacquiao is also no stranger to tough decisions and unique judging over the years in some of his fights.

The Filipino boxing legend has taken the opportunity to have a pop at those who were officiating this weekend’s fights:

The former WBO welterweight champion was referring to the judges in his last fight which took place in Australia against now champion Jeff Horn.

At the time Pacquiao and some others felt he was unfairly judged.

Boxing judging is always going to be open to human error and interpretation with the way things stand in the rules today, unfortunately.

Unless computerized judging was brought in is the only solution this writer can think of.

Until then we live in the hope that these errors happen less and less frequently, particularly at the highest level of the sport where they shine an adverse light in the sport as a whole.
