Michael Conlan Comes Up With New Slogan For Boxing Judge Adalaide Byrd

Boxing judge Adalaide Byrd continues to come in for criticism following the Golovkin-Canelo fight but Mick Conlan has gotten creative.

Undefeated professional fighter Michael Conlan signed to Top Rank knows all about bad judging decisions after his Olympic dreams were shattered at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil following controversial judging.

At the time the Irishman pulled no punches in his thoughts straight after the fight, famously blasting the body who regulate amateur boxing IABA (International Amateur Boxing Association) and saying on TV:

“Amateur boxing stinks from the core to the top.”

Following Boxing judge Adalaide Byrd scoring the Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez bout this weekend 118-110 in favor of Canelo, Conlan has re-jigged that phrase slightly in a creative meme on Twitter with his new slogan of:

Ever the marketer, Mick Conlan knows a good opportunity for exposure when he sees one.

The Irishman’s professional debut last St.Patrick’s Day at Madison Square Garden in New York had Conor McGregor no less as an added feature – who accompanied Conlan on his way to the ring.

Mick Conlan will fight again next week in Tucson against Kenny Guzman in what will be the Irishman’s 4th professional fight of his career to date, with a current record of 3-0-3KO.

Here’s a look back at the key moments of his 2nd pro fight:
