Canelo Cheap Shot On Golovkin Caught On Slow Motion Replay

This Canelo cheap shot was caught on replay and highlighted after the fight, to the dismay of many fight fans who picked up on it.

Boxing is a rough, tough sport.

Rough house tactics often go hand in hand in big fights, particularly between ferocious competitors like Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

Last night one rather subtle cheap shot was caught on camera in the replays. It showed Canelo Alvarez to be attempting a unique type of move of some sort on Golovkin.

It was pointed out by YSL on Twitter (hat tip):

Fans certainly got their money’s worth in terms of the fight last night.

A bout that had solid action throughout, as Gennady Golovkin looked to apply more pressure of the two with Canelo more content to box on the back foot and pick his spots when he did choose to engage.

Fight fans didn’t take too kindly to the above move from Canelo, however:

What did you think of the above? What would one even call it?
