The Floyd Mayweather McGregor tickets sales are still needing a push it has been reported despite the fight been just around the corner.

There’s just a few short days left before the world finds out what is going to happen in Saturday’s boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

Broadcasters of the event have taken elaborate measures ahead of time to legally stop potential pirate websites from streaming the fight for free to fans, in a bid to cut potential leakage in revenue from the bout’s overwhelmingly largest income source (pay per view buys).

There is no doubt this weekend’s event is going to be massive, gigantic in fact. But ticket sales have been reported to still be slow according to CNBC who have quoting Jessie Lawrence of Ticket IQ as saying:

“The cheapest ticket for the event is currently sitting at $1500 on the secondary market.”

We wanted to find out for ourselves however via the official ticket outlet for the bout – Ticket Master.

Upon inspection of tickets still on sale for the bout on their official site, the cheapest tickets you can now currently buy at face value as of the time of this article start at $1600 – with a considerable range still left to choose from:

The gate is expected to go past the current record for revenue at a boxing event of $73 million that was set for Mayweather vs Pacquiao in 2015.

But that’s not a guarantee just yet.
