Conor McGregor On Chris Eubank Senior and Junior

Conor McGregor on Chris Eubank senior and junior speaking ahead of his showdown with Floyd Mayweather on August 26th.

Conor McGregor is now well and truly in final preparations for his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather and speaking in an open media scrum, it came across clearly that he’s studied the sport of boxing.

Both past and present.

One interesting take away that not many picked up on was what he thought of the always entertaining and colorful Eubanks.

When speaking about the IBO super-middleweight world champion and his father – McGregor noted:

“Eubank. I like Chris Eubank (senior). Junior’s not bad. Junior’s good as well. Junior’s got some good work rate. He’s a confident young man. He follows in his father’s footsteps.”

He added:

“I always liked Eubank (senior). He was an unusual character. He moved in certain ways – almost cat like and then he had good, solid power in his shots.”

Eubank Jr’s last bout came on July 15th last month when he scored a points win over German Arthur Abraham at the Wembley Arena.

The victory set up his upcoming fight in the World Boxing Super Series against Avni Yildirim on October 7th in Stuttgart, Germany.

Chris Eubank Jr currently holds a professional boxing record of 25-1-19KO.
