McGregor Trolls Mayweather Over Previous Domestic Violence Case

McGregor trolls Mayweather via a basketball jersey with the number of a player previously linked with a dispute with Mayweather.

A few years back Floyd Mayweather ended up getting sentenced to 90 days in jail following a domestic violence case with previous girlfriend Josie Harris.

According to reports at the time, a conflict started because of an alleged relationship between Harris and basketball player CJ Watson which displeased Mayweather.

It is important to note however that Floyd Mayweather maintains his innocence to this day and that he has always said that he chose to take a deal offered to serve 90 days in jail – rather than drag his children through the mud in court.

Now, McGregor is getting more and more personal in his targeting of the American in this regard.

He has been pictured with a basketball jersey with Watson’s number 23 – which prompted the following response from current number 23 for the team these days Draymond Green on Instagram saying:

“We rocking with Floyd bro not you… take that off bruh”

To which McGregor responded to him on Instagram by saying:

“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking CJ when I don’t know or give a f*** about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”

McGregor is known for his mind games of opponents in the build-up to fights and this jab at Mayweather’s past domestic violence issue is no doubt the most personal jab the Irishman has attempted yet.

It’s not the first time he’s done this though, mind you. Remember this tweet?

McGregor is a crafty character when it comes to mental warfare. No doubt about it.

The fact he brought nothing up about the above on the pair’s recent international press tour and has waited until now to mention it again, stealthily on Instagram via the comments section no less, tends to make one believe that he has a lot more up his sleeve in terms of (trying to) get underneath the skin of Mayweather.

This video by JFCombat YouTube (hat tip) offers an interesting perspective into how McGregor could be playing mind games with Mayweather:
