Magomed Abdusalamov Update, Fallen Warrior Making Progress

A positive Magomed Abdusalamov update on the injured boxer who is now making some progress in hospital at the moment.

Former Russian heavyweight boxer Magomed Abdusalamov is showing positive signs in his recovery at the moment after a heart warming video surfaced on his social media account.

For those unfamiliar with his story, Magomed Abdusalamov was a talented undefeated heavyweight making a name for himself in the heavyweight division until tragedy struck in 2013.

In a savage fight with Cuban heavyweight Mike Perez, Abdusalamov dropped his first loss of his pro career in a unanimous decision defeat on the night.

But he was to pay a much greater price sadly after the bout finished.

Following the fight with Perez he was rushed to hospital where doctors discovered he had suffered a serious blood clot on his brain.

He was subsequently put into a medically induced coma where he then suffered a stroke which lead to fears over his life.

He would then go on to come out of the coma and show some minor signs of recovery in recent year.

This video however with his kids where he can be seen supervising an arm wrestling match could be the most positive sign yet in his recovery:
