WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder Calls Out Joshua Following Klitschko Win

Deontay Wilder calls out Joshua straight after his win against Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Everyone wants a piece of Anthony Joshua following his big win over Klitschko it would appear.

A fun filled fight that saw Joshua show massive heart to recover from the first knockdown of his pro career to get back up and stop Klitschko inside the distance.

It was a fight that transpired a little different to how many thought it would go before hand, as big fights often do in this crazy sport.

Many expected Joshua to need to take Klitschko out early and that if it went longer in the fight he could gas or get schooled by the more experienced Klitschko.

While Klitschko did have parts of the fight where he was out boxing Joshua, he by no means schooled him. Joshua also displayed a lot of stamina to close the show with the energy that he did late on in the fight in round 11.

A keen spectator ringside working for Sky Sports as a pundit on the night was none other than WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Wilder will now be a massive target for Joshua with a potential unification fight down the line. Straight after the fight Deontay Wilder calls out Joshua on social media here:

Wilder seemed to be impressed by both fighters during his commentary work for Sky on the night and no doubt will have gotten a good look at Joshua close up.

Perhaps a fight between Wilder and UK boxer Tony Bellew that was suggested recently might need to wait a while. What a time for the heavyweight division and boxing once again.
