Anthony Joshua Reflects On Klitschko Triumph A Day On

Anthony Joshua Reflects

Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua reflects on a monumental occasion for him and the sport of boxing in Wembley.

The reaction to the Anthony Joshua fight this weekend is something rarely seen in boxing.

An almost Golden age for the sport has been born again in terms of exposure for boxing with Anthony Joshua’s global star power.

He’s been in reflective mood the day after the fight when sitting down today with Sky News in his first TV interview following the fight.

He admitted that he got a bit ‘lazy’ when Klitschko knocked him down in round 6 and that it was a case of no matter how times he gets knocked down, it was about getting up again and again.

Get up he did.

He gradually came back into the fight little by little and even though the fight looked like it was getting away from him the fact he came back to do what he did in the 11th round, says a lot.

Keeping the pressure on paid off for him and the fact he finishes fights and is an exciting heavyweight champion to watch with powerful knockout power, is enough for him to be a big attraction for years to come.

Win or lose.

People love seeing heavyweight title fights that have knockouts and big punches thrown. Yes, boxing is a sweet science and always will be, but at the same time the heavyweight division has always been the glamor division in boxing and sports fans want knockouts in their big heavyweight title fights.
