Luke Campbell Stop Darleys Perez On Joshua-Klitschko Show

Luke Campbell scored a TKO victory on the biggest stage of his career at Wembley stadium to move forward once again.

Luke Campbell kept the momentum in his career going tonight as he improved his professional boxing record to 16-1-13KO in a WBA lightweight title eliminator.

Since losing his first fight of his pro career in 2015, Campbell has now put together four wins on the trot since hooking up with new trainer Jorge Rubio.

It wasn’t the best of fights, in truth, but Campbell will be happy he got the job done tonight as he forced his opponent to quit in the 9th round – giving him the TKO win.

The victory sets up a showdown with WBA 135lbs world champion Jorge Linares who was also sitting ringside watching the action.

Linares will be well known to UK boxing fans having previously beaten popular English fighters Kevin Mitchell of London and Anthony Crolla of Manchester.

Most likely Linares will have not been too worried from what he saw tonight.

Campbell, while being an outstanding talent and an excellent fighter, might be a little inexperienced yet for someone of the calibre of Linares.

Kudos to him though if for going to the WBA route with such an outstanding champion at the moment. Many of whom believe (Linares) is a top 10 pound for pound boxer in the world today.
