A rather huge Billy Joe Saunders storms a post-fight press conference and rips into his next opponent full force.

Birmingham’s Tommy Langford was stopped inside the distance last night on his quest for a fight with WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.

Avtandil Khurtsidze of Georgia, now fighting out of Brooklyn in New York, won the fight in convincing fashion in the 5th round.

Perhaps the main talking point of the evening however was what ensued in the post-fight press conference after when the world champion turned up.

Khurtsidze will likely face Saunders next up, unless Saunders secures a unification fight against Golovkin or what have you.

Although that doesn’t particularly look likely any more.

Following the fight last night Billy turned up looking quite heavy, jokingly at one point making reference to his weight calling himself a ‘fat man’ to his potential next opponent.

Khurtsidze, who had limited English, received a whirlwind of trash talk from Saunders who ripped into him in every way he could think of:

The win over Tommy Langford last night improved Khurtsidze’s record to 33-2-2 (22KO). It is expected that he will fight Saunders next on the 8th of July at a venue in London to be confirmed.
