Floyd Mayweather floats idea for a possible fight for the UK’s Tony Bellew with one of his guys as Mayweather ramps up his promoter hat duties.

Floyd Mayweather the promoter seems to be getting a bit more active at the moment it’s fair to say.

Both in the US and the UK where he has worked with promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn a small bit already. His fighter Gervonta Davis takes on Warren fighter Liam Walsh in a world title fight in London next month.

There has also been talks for a long time about Mayweather Promotions and Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport linking up in a cross-Atlantic type deal where they pit one another’s fighters against each other too.

The first potential fight in that arrangement could be taking shape as we speak.

Floyd Mayweather floats an idea on social media for former WBC cruiserweight champion and recent David Haye conqueror, Tony Bellew, to take on Mayweather fighter Andrew Tabiti:

Boxer and actor Bellew seems to be getting a lot of opportunities and call outs like this since his big win over David Haye last month.

Most likely he will move back down to cruiserweight for his next fight to try to get his WBC title back. Then again, who knows though.

If a big fight at heavyweight comes knocking perhaps he’ll go for another big money fight there.

For those not familiar with Andrew Tabiti, he’s a 27 year old fighter currently promoted by Mayweather and usually trained by Mayweather senior.

His current undefeated record is 14-0-12KO.
